Investiture Postponed

No doubt all are aware that the Investiture planned for 24/25 April had to be postponed. Reluctant as we were to postpone this important event, we knew it was the responsible choice both to ensure the safety of participants and attendants, and to set an example of conscientious social distancing. We are hoping we can go forward with the Investiture in September, but only time and the progress of the war on COVID 19 will tell. One way or another we look forward to welcoming a very talented and dedicated collection of postulants to the ranks of the Order of St George.

Web Site Launch

As of this afternoon with the help of Dame Melanie Graham, The website, Cascadiacommand-OSTG.org is finally in development, via Melanie’s efforts as webmaster.   We will soon, with your participation, have the best web site of any of the Commands with useful and functional member only features designed for Committee members to attend to Command business, and member services and resources such as a kit shop, project collaboration, and project grant assistance. External resource links will include programs and services for veterans and first responders, as well as links for donations and charitable collaboration on specific projects.

I am proud of our organization to be able to launch this long needed access to information on the West Coast for the Order.  As we go forward I ask members to help make this web site all it can be by sharing with us links to:

1. Canadian and American Veterans and First Responders resources and services that you have validated for inclusion in our web site.
2. News items on your Cascadia Command member projects and activities.

This project will take time and patience. Please feel free to pass along any comments or concerns as we tweak this site for all concerned in the Mission Statement of the Order.
